    Taming Mercedes-Benz 190E DTM

I was playing career mode when I was invited to a historic event which included driving the Mercedes-Benz at Oschersleben circuit.

I generally do pretty well, but with this car, no matter what I tried I couldn't qualify better than 7th. No matter what I tried I was always 2+ seconds behind others.

Please keep in mind that this is most likely due to my lack of skill, but the car understeers, oversteers, doesn't brake well, I just don't know what to do and where to start in order to tame it. I tried following other AI drivers closely but they seem to brake way better than I can.

Does anyone have any tips on tuning/driving this car?

A rather obvious reply, but have you tried any of the set ups at http://projectcarssetups.eu? I usually find something there that improves any given car!

The default setup has quite a stiff front end (front springs and arbs significantly stiffer than rear, encouraging understeer) and the rear end suffers from low amount of total damping, which can lead to instability issues, especially when entering corners aggressively or when encountering disturbances during corners (resulting in sudden oversteer). It could be improved somewhat by some spring and damper tuning alone.
