I'm planing to use 3 way switches, on/off/on. not pressed is off, and you can press them into 2 directions where you have 2 different on positions.

At the pictures at the beginning of this thread, these are permantent switches. but they are only a placeholder for the planing, as the momentary swichtes have not yet arrived.

    Hi GForce
Well, im not an expert in electronic but im consider to build a botton box as a hobbie . Could you tell me how can i wiring the switches, on/off/on to the PCB? And the light of Engine how do you wiring that? Where can i find the switches and the wiring cable that you have.

Well it depends on your PCB. If this is a Keyboard controller, you have to find the pins you have to close to generate a letter, as example "A".
    let's assume "A" = Pin 1 and Pin 5 and "B" = Pin 1 and Pin 9
An on/off/on momentary swich has 3 Pins. Left, right and mitddle.
The middle one is used for both switching positions.
So Pin 1 goes to the middle one
    Pin 5 goes to left
    Pin 9 goes to right.

If I press the switch now to the left, I close the circuit between Pin 1 und Pin 5 and I generate a "A".
In PCars settings I have set "A" for light and the light will turn on :-)

What do you mean by "light off engine"? Sorry I don't understand that.

Most of my parts are from Aliexpress.com (Chinese dealers)

Hope that helps, if you have more questions, just ask!

    No problem, you are welcome!

This button has 4 pins, 2 for Illumination and 2 for the switch.

The 2 for Illumination are going to a 5 Volt power source and only the 2 pins for the switch are going to the PCB.

Regarding language, where are you from?
