The rules:
Because I'm in this for (mostly) fun, I'm using the difficulty sliders to create a dynamic difficulty. With success, I'll adjust them upward. With failure, I'll adjust them downward. In theory, this should create a sine wave of difficulty that homes in on somewhere where I can be challenged but still have fun.

This won't apply to one-off races, especially the long ones.

Bump.

The Project CARS Replay Enhancer has gone through a significant rewrite, and as part of my release testing, I'm going back and rerendering videos. Today, enjoy me facestomping AI 50 karts, but now with much sleeker and faster graphics overlays. Over the next few weeks, the rerendered videos, provided they don't break the Enhancer, will trickle out into the revised playlist.

If you've the right DLC installed and the right amount of success (even in Karting... really? okay...), one of the first invitationals you'll stumble upon in the 3 Hour McLaren F1 race.

Rendering this with the rewrite of the Project CARS Replay Enhancer was actually a pretty important step is showing why the rewrite was worth it. There's more detail on the GitHub IO page but long story short is there's no longer a cap, based on your computer's memory, for how long your race renders can be.

(It's also a great race because it shows of the dusk to night transition in the game marvelously.)

A "real" race car video makes its way into Kobernulf's playlist.

There are a couple of things that I do in all my replays, but are fully customizable with the Project CARS Replay Enhancer:

• I limit the standings lists to the top 16 places. During the video, this is even dynamic; you don't see it in this video but it'll make an appearance later (because I'm too good, yeah, that's the reason!): The top 10 drivers are always shown, and then the bottom six spots "shift" in order to always show your position. So if you're in 15th place, you'll see 1-10 and 13-18 in the list, with an additional white line as a visual cue that things are NOT consecutive.
• I hide drivers with zero points in the series standings to reduce clutter. Don't need to see 6 lines of "zero" points.

More videos trickling out. I also made a Career Tier 8 only playlist, for those who want to experience the pure experience of karting.

BMW Sprint race added to lead post. I've been steadily adding videos to the playlist, but am not all that great about self-promotion.

What's interesting about the BMW Sprint Race is that it, albeit briefly at the start, shows a number of Replay Enhancer features that sometimes don't get seen, since my videos tend to have me frontrunning. The two most notable things:

• The "scrolling" behavior on the bottom half of the standings tree. It's configured to always show the "target" car, in a window 6 places large, and always show the top 10. These "windows" are customizable in the Replay Enhancer, too, so if you wanted to just show the top 10, with not regard to the target car, you could do that, or if you wanted to just show the cars around the target car with no regard to the rest of the field, you could do that.
• The red lap time, showing an invalidated time. Granted, it wasn't really my fault.
