From April to October there will be approximately 1 or 2 Rounds per month in both Series.

Each Round will run from midnight GMT on a Thursday, to midnight GMT the next Monday. Players can set lap-times on the event leaderboard at any time during this four day window.

Hmmm that works fine for me then. Thanks.

Sorry to ask, but I have another doubt. Will these rounds be "Time-Trial" or real race against other Drives like 1 vs 1 ???

The Driver Network events in 2016 are Time Trials - just as they were in 2015.

The best drivers/teams from these will also be invited to any live race events that we host throughout the year.

So, it is possible to enter both (with and without setup) competitions on ps4 with a team A and a second team B of one RSP-team? As long there is in each competition in team A and B not the same drivers?

    Example:
    Competition without setup:
    RSP - team A (5 drivers)
RSP - team B (5 drivers other then on team A)

    With setup:
RSP - team A (5 drivers, same drivers as on team A without setup)
RSP - team B (5 drivers, same drivers as on team B with setup)

Do I understand this is possible?

    Did you mean this?

If so, yes you can do this. You would need to submit four separate registration forms. One per team, per competition.

Whats in place to stop 1x driver creating multiple accounts, registering them as different drivers???
Because it would be highly possible that 1x fast driver in say Team A could create a console and PC gamertag, and default / tuned profiles, therefore ruining the whole event again, thankyou...

Thanks for the reply, The last round at Dubai did not use the base TT settings, the weather has be altered from light cloud to clear, so is it possible from a technical standpoint t or was that due to a bug?

If it is possible maybe a test using a stand alone community event would be worth while, to see how the people playing the game respond?

Another question, will the track limits be tightened for these events of is it a case of self policing again?

Hi Simmo. We are taking as many steps as possible to reduce the risk of issues like these occurring in 2016. Limiting teams to a particular number of drivers and requiring them to pre-register for the Season is just one way of doing this. As is the fact that teams will only be allowed to change their driver lineups once, in a Transfer Window during the summer.

We'll be tracking much more driver data than we did last year, so it will be easier for us to spot any weird anomalies which could be evidence that a driver/team has cheated.

Enforcement of the rules will also be stricter, with specific penalties outlined in the regulations before the season begins. If anybody attempts to subvert the rules this year, the penalties will be harsher and better managed.

We'll be publishing full rules and regulations for both the Fixed & Open Series in the next couple of weeks, which will address concerns from 2015 and some of the questions we have been asked so far about 2016. So please keep an eye out for those being released soon.

We're aware now of what happened with the Dubai weather, so you should see consistency in 2016.

We have also tweaked the track limits rules for 2016. You'll be able to read about this when we publish the full regulations in the next couple weeks. SMS staff will still conduct a final review of each event's laps, but the tweaked rules should make this significantly fairer for the drivers and teams, as well as easier for us to manage.
