Thread: [NO CHAT] PC online disconnects (MP, TT) - report here

    New race... new problems.

    I asked for the sleepactive parameter to be changed to 15. No one disconnected this time BUT... the liveries on our cars were all messed up, the timing was all messed up according to the logs for race reports (but somehow we started in the right positions)

    Hell one guy (not the fastest even) did 1:27 around zhuhai where there real pole was 1:30 something done by the - very - fast guy obviously but 26 cars i bet was not the best he could've done. I don't think 1:"7 is even possible!!!!

    Anyway, at the end of the race the leader (the pole guy) finished, and eventually we all did.. and the timer... and we waited... and waited... and decided to exit without knowing if the logs would be available.

    So, no disconnects but now we have new problems :\

    Something's very wrong with the whole sync'

    Hai,
    maybe you reduce the sleepactive by 1ms...so longe you find a value that works?
    oh and if you find one, please let us know it ^^

    oh...we have a test event this weekend...i add this on my todo list...

    I suggested that to the server admin (there's a 2h endurance race later)

    And ofc, i'll post it if we find it. Then again, each server has its specs and the amount of cars may vary so it would be just a reference, i guess.

    ouer testing yesterday ended with no news...
    Only 5 people was interested to test...so all works fine...
    We had only one curios thing, the bentley from a driver at Brands Hatch GP, p1 at start, turn over to his roof and was destroyed...
    ATM all ouer dedis running with sleepacktive at 15ms, no new problems...
    What i not understand is the RAM usage...normaly one dedi uses 50-70MB, like 5 of 6 dedis do, but one dedi uses atm 110MB and before i change the sleepacktive from 10ms to 15ms he uses 230MB! But ONLY one, all others are fine...
    This dedi is the only witch gives me many times this warning in the log:
    WARNING: User 7656119814965xxxx sent game datagram targeted to recipient with refId 39874, but there is no such member in the session
    some times i have them up to 1000 times in 5 sec.
    all other dedis gives them 1 or 2 times per day!

    That is something Ramiboo and I found out like 2 month ago. We even reported it in the DS thread no answer yet: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sho...=1#post1190064

    It seems like the DS is sending messages out to people who are even no longer in the session. This is causing high traffic, high cpu usage and it could also causes high ram usage.

    Quote myself to follow up on this.

    The admin reduced the sleepactive to 13 as per my suggestion yesterday for an endurance race. NO problems. Even the reports, skins, even lag (some had 170ms ping) wasn't an issue. 21 started 18 finished (even punctures happened so, a first too along with the no problems whatsoever) but none was due to disconnect but problems on client side or simply quits.

    Wednesday, there will be another Gr.5 race and hopefully the whole 26 petrolheads will show up. If everything goes OK, 13 seems to be a magic number for our league.

    Now if only the replays worked so we could analyze incidents. People are already talking about "Automobilista" as probably replacement for pCARS there

    hmm...maybe the user ping does his thing too, because it's ouer public server and many times users have a ping from more than 200...
    will see what they do if i reduce the sleepactive to 13ms....

    Ok guys, It's been 4 times in a month I try to do a full race with my league (12 players) for 1 hour session on dedicated server and everytime I get disconnected! I'm getting fed of these disconnections!
    I could not capture the messages shown but I can add the dbg files I had today while attempting to do the race (there are 4 dbg folders in the file attached here).

    I really hope the multiplayer will become more robust now, for 1 year the game is out now, it always had been unstable...
    I also hope some feedback from dev site, it'd give us some hope!

    Well... we got back to the disconnects. In 21 guys, 3 didn't make it to the start with one dropping from quali to warmup.

    The "syncing" took longer this time.

    Some (like me) didn't even had the option to save the replay while others had no problem (i didn't even watch the final timetable). After I finished (in 3rd) it started the timer and when I got control I was already in the lobby again.

    The setup on the Capri (confirmed by 4 of my teammates in the race) were never saved on the 5th gear in practice, was a first too.

    Hello,
    we had a testevent yesterday, over all it looks good..
    at the start of the session, some users got "kicked" with no reason...
    I noticed this entree in my online Log:
    [19:54:10:097][0x0000141c] [Info ] [GameManager::HandleGameDatagramFromServer] [GameManagerNetworking] Received p2p packet from refId 20996, the user is not the member of our session ; discarding
    can some one explaine me what this means? THX
