[RESOLVED] HUGE FFB problem, wheel locks when stopped, every car

So my default.sav file got corrupted again. Always a fun ordeal. Anyway, I started a new profile and now in every car my wheel will go full force to the right when I am stopped. I'm afraid it will break my wheel if I let it do this. I read about this problem on here before, but I remember reading that it was fixed in a patch. Well I tried everything I could think of and it will not go away. It seems to be a permanent thing on my system now.

What is going on here? I can't play at all now. Game breaking glitch. Can't do race starts.

Seriously I am completely defeated. This problem apparently can't be fixed. I've been at this problem for hours. It seems my days of playing PCARS are over. Why? How? It's just unfathomable that my game is now completely broken and unplayable for no reason. I'm just beyond angry.

You need to get close to the wheel and yell: INTERNET.

Have you reinstalled the game? Maybe verifying the steam integrity isn't enough. Don't underestimate the power of a factory default!

    Good luck.

I tried everything. I finally have deleted all game files manually and am waiting for a fresh install. But I read up on this problem and in the past even this didn't get rid of it. Still I'm giving it a shot because I just can't accept that an error this permanently fatal is possible.

Indeed, in any case, you don't want to wreck the wheel for nothing.

You can try Un-installing the TM and Fanatec software, reboot.
Open regedit, Delete any registry items for Thrustmaster/Fanatec under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE, then reboot.
    Re-install the TM/Fanatec software/recalibrate.
    X fingers.
edit: You may want to remove the default.sav file before starting up Project Cars after doing the registry thing, too remove any controller erroneous data.

From my understanding, it's already been done.

Good call on the TM registry entries.

When doing your tests, you could lower the FFB to almost 0 in the TM control panel. That way, you won't break your wheel if it doesn't behave well.
