I like the DTM as well. lovely to drive and the speed is great as well. GT4, WCTT also great... Just a great sim. Now I only want some better GFX. It is not bad of course but as said before, Pcars looks much better bit the sound and FFB are worse than RRE.

I think pcars 2 FFB is years ahead of RRE. I will always think this unless somebody can come up with definitive proof that RRE does something with its FFB thats somehow better. But considering RRE feels like 95% canned effects, I doubt it.

I don't mind how RRE looks, but its real draw is how it sounds. It's by far the best sounding of the sim games.

I cant comment on playing in 1080p but playing in 4k with all settings Maxed IMO RRE doesn't look Bad at all...Graphically it Flows smooth as Silk even with 30+ car Grids...I play Both in Full 4k and IMO PCars Only Graphical advantage is it has Animated/Moving Clouds and Shadows... But Graphically it doesn't flow as Smooth as RRE and has Pop up trees and shrubs.

For Me I Gladly trade off Fancy Animated Clouds/Shadows for Smooth Glitch free Game play....FWIW IMO RRE Look Considerably better than iRacing.

With the New FFB model and the Great Sound RRE has My vote for the Win in 2020

ACC is Ok but has alotta work to do including adding more car classes at the very least Gt4 and Touring!!! if it wants to pull ahead.

It does not look bad indeed but not as good as PCars. I play in 7860x1440. Or I have some problems with the settings. I have most settings maxed out.
I really don’t know how to make it look better. Perhaps there are settings set in nVidia panel.
As far as I know I have already reset everything back to it’s default and use only the settings from within RRE.

RRE definitely doesn't look as good as PCars, but it's far from bad. In fact, the graphics are a non-issue for me. It's look great on my screen. Unlike switching over to rF2 or iRacing, where I'm immediately like, WTH? LOL

I just can't get into the sound in PCars. It totally breaks the immersion for me. And the liveries are just funny looking and don't look realistic. The only thing I enjoy in PCars are the road cars. Probably because the sound is less of an issue in them for me. But for race cars, all the classes I like to race are way more fun in other sims than PCars. And the open wheel content is just horrible compared to other sims. Prototype and GT classes are much better in other sims, and I think PCars2 ditched the DTM class, didn't they?

I'm glad Reiza is now using the Madness engine. It always seemed like it had more potential than SMS could extract from it.

The GFX Of RRE is far from bad but Pcars just looks better I my eyes. .. the sound of Pcars is indeed a big minor thing. It does sound more like my lawnmower compared with RRE.
Anyway, I still have a lot of fun with Pcars and RRE. Although I start RRE way more often than Pcars the last 2 years.
AC, ACC and rFactor2 I almost never start up anymore..

PCars is beautiful for sure. Every time I boot it up, I have to smile at the graphics. That's why I'm always so surprised when I'm ready to switch to something else after such a short time with it. It took me a while to figure out it was the sound and liveries.

It's funny you AC, because I was planning on trying to get the FFB into shape this weekend. I used to real love the title and have so much good content--great mod cars and tracks. And the shader patch definitely boosted the graphics, but I just don't care for the feel of the FFB anymore. My settings haven't changed, it just doesn't feel right anymore, compared to ACC, RRE. I'm going to see if I can get it dialed in this weekend, and maybe even add some SC4 specific effects and Foundation mode. I hope that works, because otherwise, it's falling into the same category as PCars. I boot it up, run a race or two, and then want to switch to something else. But I do miss some of the content and customized grids I created in Content Manager.

Today I found the problem of the bad AA in RRE. It is a setting in the Nvidia Inspector. I had the AA mode set to 'override the application setting'. On the RRE forum I noticed a tip on this settings. The tip is, use 'enhance the application setting' after I changed this setting, the game looks way better. No more AA issues. Sharp as a knife. I presume it does not do anything for the AA when set to 'override the application setting'

Anyway, I'm very happy with the outcome. Sure I had to tone done some settings to maintain a 60FPS with my 7680X1440 resolution but that is totally fine with me.

What AA did you use in Insp2? I know you used enhance but what actual AA settings?
