    [RESOLVED] Project Cars kills internet.

Ok, so every time I start Project cars my internet turns into dial-up. When I watch my computers network usage i'm maxing out at 2mbps down and 1mbps up. This drop in speeds does not make sense because I have 110/10mbps internet. I have all shared memory off and UDP off and I can't figure out what is going on. Project cars has no problem connecting to servers and I can still connect to Team Speak with no problems at all, its when I try to access the internet (on any computer including mine) that it turns into Dial-Up. As soon as I quit the game my internet is back to full speed.

ok, so I don't know what I did, I direct connected my computer to my router, disabled my routers traffic meter and turned off steam overlay. But i fixed it. Had a 4 hour race today and my internet was fine.

re. the solution the OP found and implemented, there have reports before of wireless causing problems for some people. It mostly seems to be the quality (or lack thereof) of the router and wireless adapter. Some just don't like the data that pCARS produces. So although, yes, it is the 'fault' of pCARS, all it is doing is exposing a weakness in your system somewhere (as others have found with their graphics cards, power supplies etc etc). Glad the OP got themselves sorted though .
