why am i gettin only a 2 or 3 degrees air temperture difference no matter what month

In single race I can pick the month of January and its 18c. Then I can pick the month of july or august and it 20c. Shouldn't there be more of a difference than2 degrees in air temp since one mouth is winter and the other is summer?
