No, loading times were longer for me, too.

Just had thought about that along with other differences between the various titles. pCars is IMO the most convenient sim when it comes to menu structure etc. Modern UI, everything can be done via gamepad, so no need for stretching to mode/keyboard when sitting in a racing seat, full VR support (including menus), moderate loading times,..

RF2 on the other hand is IMO so amazingly complex, you can adjust like everything, fuel mixtures, engine mappings, different aero packages, ..., like mentioned earlier a impressively smart AI,..
Improved hardware (PC) + improved hardware (FFB + pedals) + improved driving skills - limited amount of time = less to no time for livery painting

Load times tend to vary depending on changes made to settings afaik.
Also get onto Steam workshop and get a ui upgrade. I'll try and find a link to a good one. Be back soon.

Well, hopefully they get VR support soon. After racing in VR, I have zero desire to go back to 2D for racing, or anything cockpit based to be honest. I spend about 90% of my time in iRacing these days anyway.

Wow , just had some laps the some randoms , Multiplayer seems flawless , no teleporting ,glitching or lag and the way you can share setups is awesome .
I was doing 1:26.xxx around Interlagos and P1 was doing 1:22.xxx so out of the blue there was a message saying P1 had shared a setup and look in received files . Bang 1:21.xxx .Now im P1 .
pCars could possibly learn a thing or two .

Something else that is really cool , is that if you don't have the car or track being used the game just downloads it for you . i had a issue when it wouldn't download because of something with the content but most have worked . It would be nice to know why i cant join or download certain things.

I've used this to download a few liveries. I think it's pretty cool that I have a Doug Henson Racing not-Audi R18, even though I'm not even in the VEC.
