    Why bother?

Am I alone in finding too many sessions of MP to be a complete waste of time?
Two sessions tonight wiped out by worthless morons.
Example: spent 20 mins qualifying for Le Mans in GT3. Qualified 5th.
Then got completely wiped out (blitzed from behind) by some **** who evidently didn't even try to brake for the bend and wiped out several drivers. Rejoined the track 14th of 16.
Overall this evening, one hour of my life wasted on a couple of garbage sessions like this.
Frankly, unless something is done about the trolls, rammers and ****s, I won't be wasting a cent on PC2.

How is the presence of idiots in the world the devs fault? I agree with you about the idiots, and personally always play against the AI, you can have some great races. Never been bothered about multiplayer at all, and that reason you state about being used to brake the rest of the field is a big one that has put me off in the past.
I really don't see how that is a fault of the game though?

There are ways to penalise rammers that could be built into the game. Checkout the add-on for the dedicated server that implements a points system based in impact speed and clean laps.

I had the same problem tonight, in my 2 sessions, I'm not good enough to qualify above 4 or 5 so always seem to be the shield between the good guys and the rammers. I don't think I make it around the first bend more than one in 5 races.

Thinking about setting up a dedicated server just for the MOD.

Learn the tricks of the trade. All I have ever raced is public rooms and I understand the the turn 1 carnage. I very rarely get caught up in the carnage and regularly get through the turn with a pretty good position. Here is one of my little tricks to get through turn 1.

Take the least desirable line into the turn. For most turns that means take the inside line and get close to the line. Most trolls and bad driving rammers will wreck on the desired racing line. Right before the turn brake hard enough to almost stop the car this will keep you from getting run off the track. Most people get booted through the turn just as they let off the brake to roll through the corner. Next watch the carnage go past you and slowly roll through the turn. Pick your spot as you exit and get on the gas. This is when the real race starts. Don't let turn 1 ruin your race use it to your advantage.

    ^ Cheeky!
If I'm not sure of the quality of the lobby, I'll qualify at the back. Watch the carnage unfold, get around the wrecked cars. Dodge a few returning to track. Climb half way up the grid. Then Chase the leaders.

We're building a very comprehensive ratings based system into pCARS2. You can choose the 'quality' of the people you prefer to race with/against. We have much more coming in this vein but I don't want to steal the thunder from the upcoming announcements.
