Just create the access file as I've written. And assuming you did the port forward stuff they do the same as you except they write the server IP address instead of 127.0.0.1 (aka localhost)

You can try it too, BTW.

guys, you are speaking to somone who has never used computers in their life, how doi find the server ip address, i know i can do it via command prompt, ping but then i need the server address or domain name or......what the hell???
i keep getting to a certain point and then i cant get any further because i cant find an explanation to the next step.
Tiago, you have been a great help to get me to this point but now i need to tell my friend where to go to so that he can test, but what does he search for?

Assuming you want to give your friends access via the internet (rather than all being in the same room on a local network)
    1. You need to forward the correct port on your router to your computer (port 8088)
    2. You need to let your friends know the IP address that your router has, as seen from the internet.

To get your internet facing address, you can either, look at your router (somewhere in it's settings it will have the IP address it is currently assigned) or you can use a lookup site like http://www.findmyip.org/
This will list your current IP address.

    Points to note..
Your internet facing IP address will probably be dynamic, which means it will change at some point (sometimes more than once in a day, other times it may hold the same address for several days), so you have to either check the address before starting or you can use a dynamic DNS service to make it so that you have a name assigned to the IP address (this is how you typing www.xyz.something into a browser ends up getting to the right place.. the internet uses numbers, humans prefer names) - you can sign up to a free service like dtdns.com that will track your IP address.
