    1 Down 9,999 to Go

I finally completed (well 99%) 1 of my car setups since I crashed my game the other day. Yes, it's only 2nd fastest at Silverstone National but it is almost a full tenth better than where I was before the crash. I admit I was more than a little disheartened but at least now I have a glimmer of hope. Only 9,999 more to go

Yes I hadn't had a problem in so long I was complacent. Only have the LMS Ultra working so far, the rest of my GT 3's are a mess

At Silverstone National you can drive the Alpine 450 with the default camber (I don't think it needs to be that much but for TT tire wear with this car is good for over 5 laps). With this set up the car didn't really start working until the 3rd lap. With this much camber you need to modify your braking points but it is manageable(I was able to manage the brakes and my legs don't work well). There is more speed in the car but I quit because I need to get more cars running. Maybe in PCars 2 they can give a guide for what an ideal lap is for each car/track so we can have something to shoot for.

0:45.470 +0:00.280 2nd place Aston Martin DBR1 default camber Silverstone National. 0.46.703 no position (would have been around 4th) Bentley Speed 8, slower than previous PB but this time with default camber Silverstone National. So far default camber looks pretty good, if you can accept different braking, at this track.

0:53.226 +0:00.308 2nd Gumpert Apollo S default camber, better than previous runs. This car WEARS me out so even though I could push it I'm through for now.
0:53.071 1st Ford Zakspeed Capri about a tenth quicker than before with default camber.
0:50.064 +0:00.124 2nd Caterham SP300.R over 2 tenths improvement from before with default camber.
0:53.585 Palmer Jaguar JPLM 0.003 faster than before (oh well) braking issues at the last left hander where killing momentum and corner entry for the last right.
0:52.684 +0:00.170 BMW 320 Turbo Group 5 improved PB, still in 4th, never have really excelled with this car but I didn't push it for now with default camber.
0:47.179 +0:00.178 BMW V12 LMR beat previous PB by around 0.070, the WR is from 4/29/16 (don't know if I can get there) with default camber.
0:51.910 Radical SR3-RS previous PB 0:52.216 still bad but improved by 0.306. Same braking issues as with the Palmer Jaguar, I'll try reducing brake pressure at a later date to see if I can smooth things out, with default camber.
0:54.859 +0:00.617 Radical RCX Turbo still 3rd, previous PB 0:54.909 so improved with default camber. must master slide/steer/brake to improve.
1:00.089 +0:01.677 Ariel Atom 300 Supercharged. Not sure about this one, first time for me ended up 3rd. The #1 time is an Alien, the Great White Shark of aliens who has devoured around 20% of the Leaderboard of PCars 1.
0:53.196 +0:00.283 BMW Z4 GT3, previous PB 0.53.231 set 2/19/17, still not very good with this car with default camber although no worse. No easy solution for me.
0:49.520 Current WR Lotus Type 78 Cosworth, latest with default camber is 0:49.530 I don't think camber is slowing this car down.
0:58.007 +0:01.140 Ginetta G55 GT 4, 0.093 faster than previous PB, default camber didn't make me slower, I'm just slow with this car ATM.
0:56.303 +0:01.892 Lotus Type 49C Cosworth, a 0.158 improvement with default camber over previous PB, really slow with this car.

I am easily distracted, decided to re-visit the Ford Zakspeed Capri, when I had made my run I hadn't adjusted tire pressure and my front tires where only at 171 degrees. Time for another run but didn't know how fast this car should be. I searched the Leaderboard and decided to compare the Capri to the generally fastest GT 3 car the Ruf RGT-8. In some cases the fastest Capri was around the pace of the 10th fastest Ruf (this is about where I was at this track) but I found some tracks where the fastest Capri was around the pace of the 3rd/4th fastest Ruf and indeed there are tracks where the Capri is actually faster than the Ruf so where should Silverstone National fit in the Capri versus Ruf matrix? I made some quick tire pressure adjustments and on my out lap I ran an 0:52.780, significantly faster than previous and good enough to slot between the 5th and 6th fastest Ruf times on this track so it appears this is a track where the Capri speed is more competitive with the RGT-8.

Another follow up on the Capri. In the past I had run this car with minimum camber so I thought I would go back and test this car once again with minimum camber keeping all other parameters the same. I was over a full second slower now with minimum camber which showed how well I had optimized my current set up to work with the default camber which is ok with me because my optimized default camber set up was much faster for me than my optimized minimum camber set up ever was (I had spent considerably more time working my minimum camber). For me, with this track/car combination the default camber is better.

I find the Mclaren GT3 faster than the RUF. It feels slower but the clock says it is faster.

NFI how you drive that Zonda, i find it impossible.

Hi Alfisti, everyone is different, I am almost always faster with the Ruf RGT-8, unfortunately, so are a lot of other people so setting a WR with this car is tough/impossible for me . Which Zonda are you having trouble with?
I am slightly faster on this track with the Revolucion and the time I posted I was using 25% acc. lock and 50% decal. lock with 0 preload. With the R in this track the time I posted was with 14% acc. lock and 50% decal. lock with
5 pre-load. Both cars have horsepower, the R 733 and the Revolucion 800 and are light weight so I have to be careful applying the throttle but I need to get on the throttle as early as possible coming out of the last corner or I lose too much time.

Have you tried ~52% brake bias in the Ruf? Stops on a dime but if you're not careful you can overdo it with the trail braking. That car has the best brakes and corner exit of the GT3 cars.
