It's a test to see how long before release the unwashed masses start complaining about pC2 already being abandoned for pC3 with pC2 still months from release

PS: those who know their pCARS history should understand

Imagine, if you will, a 24 hour race on the streets of Las Vegas, with all those lights, and prototypes blasting down The Strip. Or, an all-five-boroughs race in "the city that never sleeps."

    The possibilities...OH, the possibilities!
    What a nightmare.

Hopefully they'll exhaust all of the world's purpose-built tracks before resorting to using city streets to race on.

I would love to see Pau but the race was a couple of weeks ago now so I guess it's too late to scan for PC2. Hopefully PC3 instead!

Here's my thinking, and apologies that it took this long to hammer out.

I have nothing against purpose-built tracks, but there's only so much rolling greenery that I can stand. And this medium gives us a chance to ask, "What if?"

Let me pick on Washington DC. Wide avenues, roundabouts, funky angles, and more photo-ops than you can shake a camera at. But you'll never see a proper course set up there: between legendarily awful traffic, and the multiple agencies and embassies that would have to agree to get a good enough course, it's never going to happen in the real world. I can describe a theoretical course if anyone wants one, and it doesn't have that many 90-degree turns, either.

Realism is good; but what's wrong with wondering, "What if?"

I don't like street circuits much either. Long Beach is so-so but Monaco, bah not my thing. Usually street circuits have terrible flow, Monaco is a great example of that. And the reason I like Long Beach better is that the flow is also better. You could argue those tracks would require extra skill or challenge but if I want more skill or challenge I will just drive a car that is more difficult to handle or I pump up the AI difficulty... on circuit tracks with great flow.

For PC3 I hope we get to see a bit more tracks from the lesser used continents and countries like South America, Canada, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. But first and foremost tracks should be fun to drive, be situated in a gorgeous environment, look great at night or preferably all of that at once.
