PS4- How can I mute the other drivers?

Driving me crazy when racing online, people yakking, eating chips, whatever .... I cannot have the sound too loud as i will wake the kids but the other drivers come through SO LOUD and drown out my engine sound so i lose all rhythm. How do i mute?

    You can't "mute all".
During practice/qualifying, from the garage menu you go to (trying to remember) "multi-player" where all driver names are listed. Then hit R1, up/down on the D-pad to select the driver you want to mute, hit X then choose mute.
And give him a vote to kick too, while you're there.
Mid-race you'll have to press options then multi-player.
"Slow is smooth, smooth is fast."
    G29 settings (PC1).

Yeah but how? You driving one handed and reaching for a bag of doritos? I'd be in the wall in about 2 seconds

It's quite easy actually, but only when on the straights and only in SP never in MP, I do it myself sometimes

Yea, straights are for bowl hitting, drink drinking, and quick snacking.

I drink, drive and eat chips. Good times. Probably why I never win though.
