Project CARS 2 - recreating real life multi-class championships

Project CARS 2 will have some great tools available to create custom multi-class championships. It will be interesting to recreate those championships from real life as accurate as possible with all the tracks and car classes we have in the game. Below is the information of some real life championships along with some suggestions of how to replace those tracks and car classes that are missing from the game (greyed out). However, this is in no way a statement of how you should play, it's just an option. You are always free to replace the missing pieces any way you want or just ignore everything and mix your own tracks and classes.
Info for new real-life championships to add is always welcome as well as suggestions or corrections for the info already posted. I will see if I can find the starting hour for each race as well but that will require some research. All circuits below are the GP circuits unless noted otherwise.

    option 2) LMP2 / LMP3 / GTE / GT3 (LMP3 representing PC)

Suggested tracks for Project CARS 2 :
Not easy with so many tracks missing. You could do one of the following:
    1) Just run a light version of the championship with 6 rounds.
    2) Run the championship with 12 rounds but use each track twice.
    3) Or if you want to do a 12 round championship on unique tracks and mostly based in the USA then I suggest doing 2 rounds in the UK and as follows:
    - Replace Sebring International Raceway with Indianapolis Road Course.
    - Replace The Raceway on Belle Isle with Texas Road Course.
    - Replace Canadian Tire Motorsport Park with Brands Hatch.
    - Replace Lime Rock Park with Oulton Park.
    - Replace Virginia International Raceway with Sonoma Raceway.
    - Replace Road Atlanta with Willow Springs.

    2017 24H Series powered by Hankook (A6 (=GT3) / SPX (incl. ST) / 991 / SP2 / SP3 (=GT4) / TCR (~TC) / A3 / CUP1 / A2 (incl. TC1)) (rolling start) (info)
    Round 1 - 24H Dubai (Dubai Autodrome / Friday 13th January 14:00 - Saturday 14th January 14:00)
    Round 2a - (part 1 - 4 hours) 12H Mugello (Mugello Circuit / Friday 17th March, 14:00 - 18:00)
    Round 2b - (part 2 - 8 hours) 12H Mugello (Mugello Circuit / Saturday 18th March, 10:00 - 18:00) (restart)
    Round 3a - (part 1 - 3 hours 30 minutes) 12H Red Bull Ring (Red Bull Ring / Friday 7th April, 14:15 - 17:45)
    Round 3b - (part 2 - 8 hours 30 minutes) 12H Red Bull Ring (Red Bull Ring / Saturday 8th April, 09:15 - 17:45) (restart)
    Round 4 - 24H Paul Ricard (Circuit Paul Ricard / Saturday 6th May 14:30 - Sunday 7th May 14:30)

    Round 6 - 24H Portimao (Algarve International Circuit / Saturday 26th August 15:30 - Sunday 27th August 15:30)
    Round 7a - (part 1 - 14 hours) 24H COTA (Circuit of the Americas / Saturday 11th November, 09:00 - 23:00)
    Round 7b - (part 2 - 10 hours) 24H COTA (Circuit of the Americas / Sunday 12th November, 08:00 - 18:00) (restart)

Suggested classes for Project CARS 2 :
    option 1) GT3 / GT4 / TC / TC1
    option 2) GT3 / ST / GT4 / TC
I highly recommend option 1 here as it's a great opportunity to run a real life based multi-class race with the Clio Cup in it. Option 2 replaces the Clio Cup with the Huracan ST but then you kinda loose the speed difference between the GT3 and the Clio Cup which makes the Hankook series so unique.

Suggested tracks for Project CARS 2 :
Replace Mugello with Monza (geographically closer) or either Brno or the Nürburgring (both technically closer).
Replace Circuit Paul Ricard with Le Circuit Bugatti.

    2017 Veranstaltergemeinschaft Langstreckenpokal Nürburgring (VLN) (SPX (incl. R.S.01) / SP9 (=GT3) / SP10 (=GT4) / TCR (=TC) / SP3 (=TC1) / V6..V3 (= Road D..G) / many others) (rolling start) (info)
    Round 1 - (4 hours) 63. ADAC Westfalenfahrt (Nürburgring Nordschleife & Sprintstrecke / Saturday 25th March, 12:00 - 16:00)
    Round 2 - (4 hours) 42. DMV 4-Stunden-Rennen (Nürburgring Nordschleife & Sprintstrecke / Saturday 08th April, 12:00 - 16:00)
    Round 3 - (4 hours) 59. ADAC ACAS H&R-Cup (Nürburgring Nordschleife & Sprintstrecke / Saturday 24th June, 12:00 - 16:00)
    Round 4 - (4 hours) 47. Adenauer ADAC Deutsche Payment-Trophy (Nürburgring Nordschleife & Sprintstrecke / Saturday 08th July, 12:00 - 16:00)
    Round 5 - (6 hours) ROWE 6 Stunden ADAC Ruhr-Pokal-Rennen (Nürburgring Nordschleife & Sprintstrecke / Saturday 19th August, 12:00 - 18:00)
    Round 6 - (4 hours) 40. RCM DMV Grenzlandrennen (Nürburgring Nordschleife & Sprintstrecke / Saturday 02nd September, 12:00 - 16:00)
    Round 7 - (4 hours) 57. ADAC Reinoldus-Langstreckenrennen (Nürburgring Nordschleife & Sprintstrecke / Saturday 23rd September, 12:00 - 16:00)
    Round 8 - (4 hours) 49. ADAC Barbarossapreis (Nürburgring Nordschleife & Sprintstrecke / Saturday 07th October, 12:00 - 16:00)
    Round 9 - (4 hours) 42. DMV Münsterlandpokal (Nürburgring Nordschleife & Sprintstrecke / Saturday 21st October, 12:00 - 16:00)

Suggested classes for Project CARS 2:
    You can mix any of the following classes in my opinion: R.S.01 / GT3 / GT4 / TC / TC1 / Road E (*) / Road F (*)
However I would always include at least GT3 and one of the road car classes since those are vastly represented in real life (together with Porsche and BMW cup cars we don't have). Some interesting combinations:
    option 1) R.S.01 / GT3 / GT4 / Road EorF
    option 2) R.S.01 / GT3 / TC / Road EorF
    option 3) GT3 / GT4 / TC / Road EorF (**)
    option 4) GT3 / TC / TC1 / Road EorF
    option 5) GT3 / TC / Road E / Road F
    option 6) ... / ... / ... / ...
(*) Some road cars that race in the V-classes are the Porsche 911 & Cayman S (in V6, fastest) and the Toyota GT86 (in V3, slowest) with a lot of BMWs and Mercedes in between, but nothing too exotic. This is my take on the road car classes in Project CARS 2 to use for this championship:
    * Road A, B, C = too exotic or powerful, for sure don't use these if you want to realistically represent this championship (FYI: V6 is the highest road car class and maximum engine size for it is 3.5 liter).
    * Road D = the performance is fine to represent the higher V-classes but in my opinion too many cars in this class with engines bigger than 3.5L.
    * Road E = acceptable and a good mix of road cars (the 1984 Ferrari GTO being a bit of the oddball but there is a H-class for older cars as well).
    * Road F = acceptable but only 3 car variants (good ones though).
    * Road G = even though the GT86 is in here, IMO there are too many cars from the 60s/70s to represent a realistic VLN road car class, plus that Funhaver's engine is way too big and it would look just silly.
(**) My personal favorite is option 3 with Road E class for the road cars. It resembles the real life mix of GT3, GT4, touring and road cars the best in my opinion and gives a very diverse grid.

Suggested tracks for Project CARS 2:
Replace Nürburgring Nordschleife & Sprintstrecke with Nürburgring Nordschleife & GP combined.

Round 10 - Grand Prix of Sonoma (Sonoma Raceway / September 15–17)

Suggested classes for Project CARS 2 :
    option 1) GT3 / GT4 / TC
    option 2) GT3 / GT4
    Touring cars didn't race in rounds 1, 2, 7 & 10 so hence option 2.

Suggested tracks for Project CARS 2 :
Not easy with so many tracks missing. You could do one of the following:
    1) Just run a light version of the championship with 5 rounds.
    2) Run the championship with 10 rounds but use each track twice.
    3) Or if you want to do an 11 round championship on unique tracks and mostly based in the USA then I suggest doing 1 rounds in the UK and as follows:

    - Replace Canadian Tire Motorsport Park with Brands Hatch.
    - Replace Lime Rock Park with Texas Road Course.
    - Replace Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with Indianapolis Road Course.
    - Replace Utah Motorsports Campus with Daytona Road Course.

    2017 Intercontinental GT Challenge (GT3 / GT4)

    Round 4 - Motul Sepang 12 Hours (Sepang International Circuit / 10 December) [GT3 / GT3 Cup / GT4 / MARC / Touring] (2016 classes for now)

Suggested classes for Project CARS 2 :
    option 1) GT3 / GT4 / TC
    option 2) GT3 / GT4

Suggested tracks for Project CARS 2 :
Replace Sepang with another Asian circuit (Zhuhai International Circuit recommended)

(*) = multiple rounds on the same day

    GT3 / GT4

Replace Rockingham with Cadwell Park (geographically closer) or Indianapolis GP (technically closer).

You can pretty much swap the tracks for any other tracks for a more interesting experience. It does not have to follow the series for most car classes.

I had been bringing oddball classes to places it never been like WEC style in Daytona Road Course or NASCAR on Monza Ovals, that is incredibly rewarding to do that. Considering that pcars is a massive sandbox of toys, mix them up!

Funny to read such a word from a Brit

Even if it should be spelled "Listenmeister" -> singular: Liste / plural: Listen - "List" in German would translate to trickery or deceit.

Yeah that was the first track I thought about as well but Laguna Seca is closer to Mexico. :P I'll list them both though since from a technical point of view, I think RA is a better replacement for the track in Mexico than LS.

I had been bringing oddball classes to places it never been like WEC style in Daytona Road Course or NASCAR on Monza Ovals, that is incredibly rewarding to do that. Considering that pcars is a massive sandbox of toys, mix them up!
Of course! People can still do what they like. I for sure will do some oddball multi-class races as well like for example the creme de la creme of GT racing which should be RS01, Super Trofeo, GTE and GT3. Or even open wheelers like IndyCar, FA, FR3.5, FC. Or STOCKCAR, V8SC, Megane Trophy, Touring will be interesting too.

But for this thread I just want to put the info from some real life multiclass championships available with some suggestions of how to run them for PCARS2. People can always adjust them to their likings.

    2017 European Le Mans Series
    2017 WeatherTech SportsCar Championship

The first one just shows how much we NEED Paul Ricard as we could then race that entire championship on all authentic tracks with the correct car classes as well.
