Are you asking if you have control over the hybrid system?

The hybrid system is dealt with in the same way as PCars1 for the TS040-HYBRID and R18 etron quattro. The ERS is not simulated in the manner it is in Assetto Corsa unfortunately. Regardless, the TS040-HYBRID could still be my most driven again.

It is not that ERS is not simulated in Pcars, it isn't needed.

Kunos literally copied the modern F1 ERS systems onto their LMP1s which is incorrect for LMP1. Rene Rast did say ERS in LMP1 does not work like F1.

I think the TSO40 Hybrid deploys it when the throttle is depressed 100 % .

Kunos has a more appropriate ERS management.

Mike Conway (for Toyota) said that the deployment was automatic, but pilots can manage where to activate it for more efficiency.
They do also have a button (like a boost button) to deploy the energy when they want to overtake (see button 01 on the picture below).
You can also see the hybrid management switch on the steering wheel of the 919 on the picture below (button 22).

Some other explanations from Porsche on the 919 system : "The recuperated electrical energy is stored temporarily in a lithium-ion battery and feeds an electric motor on demand. “On demand” means: the driver wants to accelerate and calls up the energy at the press of a button."
