Any rig is better than no rig, center post or not.

I never had a real problem with the center post using3 pedals,

I have the evolution alcantara and i have no problem with the centerpost using 3 pedals, but i understand why some people might have some problems with it.
To solve the problem i moved the plates of the brake and gas pedal to the right.

Here's me playing Dirt Rally on my Playseat with 3-pedals.
The center post clearly proves to not be a problem whatsoever.

    I'm 1,81m tall (5 ft 11) by the way.

The center post on my Open Wheeler is no problem just off set the Pedal unit to the left a little and no issue

Centre bar would put me off. I upgraded from my rennsport wheel stand and the centre bar on they used to drive me nuts. As people have said you could offset your brake and accelerator pedals but then it's gets in the way when left foot braking

I put up with it for about 8 years and recently upgraded to a GT Omega Pro and it Really notices going from centre bar to no centre bar.

It may not be a problem for some but if you can avoid it in the first place why bother?

I'd imagine you could pick up a GT-Omega ART for similar money.

I'm 6'1" and mine fitted me fine. Of bigger concern should be the lack of lumbar support, but a small cushion should do the trick. I found the fake leather on my FM3 Playseat was a bit sweaty too, so I swapped it out for a Recaro from an Escort RS Turbo. Much cooler, and much more comfortable. The central bar has never bothered me.
