Exclamation Steam store: Minimum requirements - Specific versions of Windows 7???

    From the store page:

(Sorry, I`m not allowed to post links)

    SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
    MINIMUM:
OS: Windows 10 (+ specific versions of 7)

Which are the specific versions on Windows 7 ?

Not that I care about Win8, but is it not supported at all?

    Cheers

Win 7 64 bit with SP1 and ALL patches (so it has DX11.1) and yes Win 8 (and 8.1) are supported
(there is no 32 bit support for ANY version of Windows, so you must be running 64 bit version)

Hi, I have only 6 GB ram installed. There is no other free ram slot on my mainboard and ram prices are very high in my contry mainly because of the currency. Can't I play pcars 2 on my pc. I was playing pcars 1 without any problem. I want to buy pcars 2 and it is very expensive too ,but first I want to know whether or not I can run and play.

You should be OK on low/med settings, and 6 GB should be fine.

Try it for an hour on Steam. If your system doesn't perform well and you have no plans to upgrade, just refund it.

and make sure to shut down everything you can before starting PC2 to free up as much memory as possible

Gosh, we have to wonder which graphical settings affect GPU and which affect CPU (aside from LiveTrack 3.0 weather where it's pretty much all CPU, hence the power required, not to mention how many threads pCARS 2 use, something I've already asked).

In my simple world view, anything that has different details levels is GPU. The heaviest GPU-related options would be:
    - reflections
    - env map
    - shadows
    - grass
    - level of AA

Things that are related to CPU:
    - damage
    - weather
    - LiveTrack
    - AI

Regarding your last question: do you mean threads or do you mean cores?

Threads, not just actual cores, considering SMT (simultaneous multi-threading, or Intel Hyper-Threading) on Intel Core (for years!) and, just recently, AMD Ryzen.

(But are actual cores more preferred over threads itself?)

IIRC at least each tyre has its own thread, and distributed over the CPU cores equally. The rest I don't know, would need to have a look at Task Manager during game execution to see that I guess?
