pace should be relative to the last 4 or 5 laps and it *should* take rain into account (that is, it shouldn't be comparing dry pace to wet pace). Sounds like a bug

Think it is mate, it was telling me I was over 3 seconds off the pace while pulling away from the field and I was ~15 laps into the wet at the time.

Slightly related: Heavy cloud registers as "Rain" as in when weather switches to heavy cloud, the crew chief app will say "we're expecting rain in 2 minutes" every time.

The rain prediction thing was enabled by default, it's now disabled by default. However, this doesn't change existing users' settings so you'll have to disable this by un-checking the 'Enable PCars rain prediction using CloudBrightness' setting in the Properties screen.

Regarding the app not taking conditions into account and using old laptimes in pace comparisons, this won't be a quick fix. There are several 'best time' values in the app's internal state - best-sector values, best-sector-by-car-class, best-lap-by-car-class, recent-laps-by-car-class, etc etc. I need to bring all these pieces of data together into a single structure that can be queried appropriately (by weather, by time, etc). This is a substantial amount of work. It needs doing and i'll make a start, but it'll take a little time.

I did spot and fix an unrelated issue - when you're lapped (e.g. your a slower car in a multiclass race) the app wasn't taking this into account when working out how many laps were left in the race. This will be fixed in the next release. Not sure about the timings rework - will see how it goes

This option doesn't appear under pcars2 settings, only under the pcars1 settings. Should I be using the pcars1 modes?
