I have a question about calibrating the CSL. I used to own a T300 and I could match the 900 setting when you calibrate the wheel for 90 degrees. My first CSL Elite (which i had replaced because of slack in the wheelbase) could also match the 900 setting. But now with my second CSL Elite I can only get it to match 899 or 902 to the left and 899 or 901 to the right.

Is there something wrong with this wheel or do you guys also encounter this? Please let me know.

I've never calibrated mine using the In Game calibration.
I just use the Wheels Built in Sensitivity settings.
And Adjust it for the Different cars.

Okay, not calibrating. That's new to me. Is this common use for CSL elite wheels with PCARS2? Does this also go for the pedals? Still wondering if my wheel is fine though.

Don't know if it's common, But I stopped Calibrating the Wheel rotation even when I had my G29.

    I do Calibrate the Pedals.
I had a sticking brake issue with my G29's (finally debugged it to a cut wire )
The Only way I could fix it at the time was through the Pedal Calibration and Dead zone settings.

So I've just continued to calibrate the Pedals.

It sounds to me like your wheel is working fine.
Not being able to Hit 900 exactly does not indicate a problem in my mind.

The CSL-E uses a large Slotted disc with an optical source and sensor as it's position Encoder.
Depending on how you have the Sensitivity set, will affect how close to each number you can read.
so seeing 899 and 901 or 899 and 902, and it skipping over 900 is not an indication of a problem.

I recently did a tear down of my CSL-E

Those tear down pictures are pretty interesting. If you don't mind me asking, why the tear down? Just curiosity? Or were you having some sort of issue?

Thank you. I'll check with Fanatec today to see if they also don't see a problem with it. Nice pics of the teardown by the way.

    My V3 pedals wouldn't connect. ( since day 1 I've had this Issue )
The Slightest touch or movement of the RJ45 cable, causes them to disconnect.
( tried new cable - no results )

The only way to get them to connect is to unplug, and plug the RJ45 back in.
sometimes this takes 5 or 6 tries.

Someone told me that there was a bad batch of RJ45 connectors.

So I took the Wheel apart so I could check to see if that was the Issue.
I did not find any obvious issue.
I went so far as to even re-solder the connector just in case.

I have a Support ticket open with Fanatec, but No response to that ticket..

Why not just wait for Fanatec response?

When I got the New Mclaren wheel.
I had to Update the Firmware.
That Meant connecting it up to my PC.

after the Firmware update, I couldn't get the V3 pedals to work.

So I took it upon myself to see if it was the RJ45 connector.
    and document the process.
I couldn't find any other photos or guides to go by..
