In fact, many weeks ago in this same thread I commented something about it and rather I was harshly criticized. But as I have suggested, none of that would happen if the points system considered other factors such as the starting position vs. the final race position, leaving as a secondary factor his final position vs. other players according to the range of skill points.
But that was only because of the intentions you stated. It really showed the effects of the number rating on people's behavior. On the other hand I still don't think anything of it when people leave pre-race(or during), so it's fine.

I'm one of them And how can you say it's not possible? It's very possible, you just don't have to care about your points so much, and they are meaningless anyway. You can't pay anything with them, it doesn't earn you anything and you have demonstrated yourself that they are susceptible to boosting if you quit and or join races beneficial to you. So it can hardly be used as a rank anyway... To be honest if you still do what you say you did, your rating isn't what it naturally would be.... This isn't an attack, I really don't care about points and how people get them(losing them is another thing), but be honest to yourself...

    +1
Starting at the back if you can avoid wrecking in public servers you're almost guaranteed a podium. That said, you'd have to not care for your points by not winning a race, but enjoy the racing instead.

Is there a feature where you can "blacklist" players (as in not allowing 'known' rammers to join your p2p lobby) or is that strictly for dedicated servers?

Was in a race yesterday where the host had a run-in with another driver at the end of the race (it happened just in front of me). The host decided to rage-kick the offender, but accidentally rage-kicked me instead. 20 points lost.

Please change that. There should be NO points removed when a player is kicked.

I had suggested the same, but the problem is that this could be used by cheating players to abuse the system and in that case ram other cars and sabotage races or win in a dirty way without any hindrance, because they will not lose their points if they are kicked out of the race for their bad behavior.

Although perhaps they could adjust the option to kick for the host in the sense that in the absence of 1 lap or minute to finish the race that option is disabled. But likewise most incidents of winning or defending a position often occur in the last few laps, which is the moment when positions are defined.

Perhaps the safest thing would be that once the player crosses the finish line and has secured his points, so the host can not win anything if he kicks at that time. Or limit to 1 the number of players that can be kicked directly by the host, being that to kick more players a majority of votes is needed.

How about once in the race more than 1 person has to vote to kick so the host just can't give himself victory.

    Seems overly complicated.

If someone is a crasher, I just want them gone and don't really care about their points. If they are a true griefer, they don't have much for points anyway so who cares?

Just don't take away points when someone is kicked. There's too many lame reasons for someone being kicked, and we can't control people's behavior, so you have to assume that in many cases, people are being kicked for the wrong reasons. Given that, why in the world would you remove points when someone is kicked?
