Can we disable sterring wheel in game menus?

It there a way to disable steering wheel in game menus? It is so annoying when the wheel is not in center position and it is messing up everything when in game menu/set up the car or trying to change the game options. When in VR I cannot even see wheel position and my wheel quite often drifts towards right.

If you allow center spring to be set by the game, then in the menus the wheel will be centered automatically by the game.

Turn up 'Menu Spring' in FFB settings.

This is what I was trying but I don't think it worked, do I need to set up anything in DFGT control panel?
