It really does put a dent on the immersion for me I have to say. Sad that SMS won't consider fixing it. But apparently most people don't see the problem, so there.
Now that you mention it it does seem a little lacking depth. I actually notice more when turning.

In some review of VivePro I've read that this device gives more depth experience thanks to more clearer image (better resolution = less aliasing, shimmering etc).
What if lack of depth in PC2 is related not to stereoscopy but to image "quality"? I mean there are comments around, that PC2 gfx suffers from more shimmering and aliasing than other sims. Maybe it impacts feeling of depth.
    Just a though.

i just don't understand why they cant fix the aliasing and the shimmering that both Pcars and Pcars2 have been suffering from on monitors and in vr .

it don't. Just big pixels of vr gen1 perceived by a user, increase aliasing and shimering effects. Since VivePro offers more dense resolution, mentioned gfx artefacts are less prominent, giving more "clear" image and in turn better depth

Based on this, I speculate that if AC generates more clear, less shimered image than PC2, it might be the only reason of better depth in VR in AC

Aliasing and shimmer is present with 4k Ultra ,MSAA High more so in pC 1 and 2 more than any other game .

This is what I'm saying. this is the probably the reason why VR in PC2 has less depth than the competition

It would be the worst in just about any game !
Just learnt to live with it sadly
There has been threads and post about this but there is nothing tha can be done ..apparently its a limitation of the engine
