I use HyperX Cloud II headset via Razer 7.1 software and I get good positional sound, no lag when set as default win sound.

My guess is the lag is caused by mirroring without having set as default windows sound output.

It's not PC2 specific (I have experienced it in D:R too). I saw a few reports over internet but no culprit nor solutions.
My games incl PC2 generated sound to default audio device, which is mirrored to Vive HDMI audio when using VR. Thanx to that I can connect headphones to my VIVE not affecting the rest of system audio settings.
In my case it happens occasionally and delay increases by time. It means everything is ok while I'm starting the game, but after some time, let's say 10 laps I'm starting to notice that shifting sound is not in sync with actual shift change. When I compare sound in headphones with sound from speakers it might be delayed even for about half a second. But as I said it doesn't happen always.

Since Vive HDMI audio is driven by nVidia drivers, I made sure I have recent drivers for this device.

    Any suggestions?
I found the issue so distracting (and recently regular) so I filed it to SteamVR support.

I've searched through a lot of pages of this thread but haven't seen anything.

Is there any setting that changes draw distance of the trees? The tree popping, where the resolution increases as you get closer is driving me nutts. Is there anything we can do to improve this?

Guys, Oulton Park Intl, 10pm, rain, 15 opponents, start first, is a FPS killer in VR.
Even with my 1080Ti OC I cannot sustain 90fps at the race start.
Almost everything is at low in the Performance settings (not the track or the cars details either)

    And

    SS@1.0!

    What a shame...

But after the start I can get 90fps...

I love Oulton Park. I never race in the rain so I can't confirm the fps drops. I race with a full grid almost the whole race wwith 90fps..

Youd better give it a try. Rain first then a slowly drying track. Its the icing on the cake, eyecandy-wise as well as challenge-wise. Try to hit dusk.

In fact down and dusk are real pain in VR. I mean it in positive way. Playing on monitor you cannot feel the direct sunlight being so painful to eyes comparing to VR. In VR you can literally want to avoid those rays.
I don't know you noticed the same, but for some unknown reason, the Sun wake up or get asleep over most crucial tracks parts. usually blinding you in very difficult corners or so

BTW I'm using chroma flare only (cockpit view)

I did of course. Several times but every time I do I don’t like it. It is just not my cup of tea.
