Whatever causes it, the sad thing is I never had that happen in the Oculus. So many good headsets out on the market now but SteamVR doesnīt make me happy.

I switched from an Oculus rift cv1 to the Index... I have tried uninstalling the game, deleting the game folder in my documents etc. Everytime I open the game in Steam VR mode it still opens up my oculus home to run the game from there. Now this would not be a big problem but for the fact that with all my settings either on off or low and no supersampling in game with 100% supersampling in steam I cant maintain 45 frames with a full grid of cars. On my rift I do not have this problem and didnt have it. Now the big thing is, I have recently switched to a 2080ti also... so there is something big wrong here.

Ironically I can manage to delete and fresh install the game to such an extent that I need to reasign my wheel and pedals but everything else stays the same as before I uninstalled and deleted. any advice would be welcomed

On the Rift S, the HUD is set much too far to the top-left of your viewing space.
Did you ever find a fix for this on the Rift S? I'm finding that in VR its fine but on the monitor where I record footage is too much Top left and I cant select anything on the right or right bottom of the HUD in PC2.

p.s. I'm guessing you did as I'm going though all your youtube videos and seeing the HUD aligned perfectly

Are you aware that when you are in "change HUD arrangement mode" you can move/flip/change size of the HUD by using the keys on the number pad?

Hi, anyone tried the NVIDIA v441 image sharpening setting compared to the must-have sharpening feature controlled by graphics config XML? Which do you think is better?
    Thanks

Question to all HP Reverb guys: Do you get any stutters when cornering like I do? If so, did you find out what is causing it?

I get this though neither gpu nor cpu are on their limits. I have been trying many many different settings up to now, to no avail so far. I found that it gets worse the higher the quality settings and it seems to be worse when chasing aonther car instead of being on my own. It also seems to be worse in multiplayer compared to single player. Which all makes sense so far, apart from the fact that I donīt see the bottleneck.

I even get this in R3E which is not that demanding. Setting video quality to "high" makes it worse even if my 1080ti is on 60% then.

Somebody else around here (BigDad I think it was) told me that most likely my cpu is on its limit, though task manager telling me that cpu load is around 45-50% and no single core at its limit as well. What I donīt get is how it could be the cpu as I didnīt have that issue at all with my Rift. I donīt see how cpu load can be that much higher with another VR headset.

Anybody around here who managed to solve this issue? Any input highly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hallo my friends,
I know this is a very general question but.. which VR headset is giving the best overall performance regarding this title. I have searched the internet but I can t say i hane an answer. So anyboby who has tested some headsets and has a better judgement in that topic is more than welcome to share his experiences.
    Thank you.

If you are looking for performance of the game then itīs a good idea to go for a headset with relatively poor resolution. My old Rift CV1 plus high quality settings gave me a constant 45 fps with perfectly working ASW, so I was happy with that. The higher the resolution, the worse the performance of course. I havenīt tried the Rift S yet but from my experience the Oculus software works way better than SteamVR, so maybe it is worth a try.

Thanks for the reply but, resolution is one of the most important aspects, as well as fov. So I d like to hear impressions of people that have tested headsets that really make a difference.
Anybody has any experience about the pimax series, or the hp reverb?
