So, Kaspersky is saying that it is a false positive?

I have 2 lifetime keys from Malwarebytes. So, that helps! I use defender, too.

I just received this from Kaspersky. They are confirming it is a false positive.

    "Hello ,

Thank you for contacting Kaspersky Lab Technical Support.

Hi! My name is Jiva and I'll be working on your case for today. We got an update from our Tier 2 and they said that it was a false detection. It will be fixed.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation.

    Have a great day!

If you have any further questions or concerns, please update us by replying to this email or through the My Kaspersky account website."

Where they said "it will be fixed" would have been nice to tell me when.

I ran a Kaspersky data base update. Then I scanned pcars2.exe. No threats detected. Then I ran the Kaspersky application advisor on the exe file and got this: security = safe and possible risks = not detected.

Then I deleted my manual pcars2.exe Kaspersky exclusion/trusted application settings, rebooted, crossed my fingers and ran Project Cars 2. NO MORE ISSUES. Congrats SMS. Kaspersky seems to like you now.

I had Kaspersky about a year ago. The last straw for me was when it identified steam.exe as a virus and deleted it. Ridiculous. There are a lot better virus programs out there.

If yo do a google search you will find a lot of people that had the same issue, even with the " lot better virus programs out there".
