    Ideal racing line question

    Hello SMS,
it would be very cool if you could make the ideal racing line less invasive, i.e. smaller and semi-transparent.
It takes too much "visual" on the game, ruining the immersion.

    Thanks

Why cant people let other players enjoy the game the way they want it? Whenever somebody says he uses the ideal line there is always a snipey comment about it. If he likes the game better with ideal line on, good for him. His request is not ridiculous, so why ridicule him???

As a sidenote, try turning it off.
I was a huge fan of the racing line on Forza, and even the fastest guys there seemed to use it, but i think it serves two different purposes on each game.

On Forza i mainly used it to figure out when i could accelerate out of a corner safely. After jumping ships over to Pcars 2, i quickly found out that the way i used to drive on Forza was more or less impossible here. I can't even get close to accelerate as early as i did in Forza and that is ok!

I turned off the racing line, and spend just a little more time practicing than i would on Forza. Honestly i quite like that i need at least 2-5 laps to understand the track and car before i can try to set a proper time. Being used to Forza, i almost felt that any car and any track were more or less the same, but i love the effort that goes into learning to drive again and again in Project cars.

Just a hint - try to turn it off a couple of days and see how it goes

I think there's also an option to just have it on just for corners, so that it not on for the straights.
So there ya go. Three options:
    1. Off. 2. Full. 3. Corners only.
    Thank me later.

because........it's human nature to ridicule things. 99.9% of people will eventually do it WITHIN 12 hours.

I agree with rookieraceline's post. in forza, without the line, I could generally get within a few tenths of my times with line, and sometimes match them. at the ring, I was typically 5 seconds+ behind.

I was running the nordschleife community event yesterday and, even though they are obviously the same track, the difference in feel between pc2 and fm at that location is pretty staggering. In fm, I can just about run it in my sleep without worrying about the kerbs, angle of entry or much of anything else. In pc2, when I forget myself and revert to old to tactics, it's a short lap and quick restart.

Imo, with the possible exception being while learning a track, the line will slow you down in pc2.
