    Pace notes in Crew Chief

    Ayup folks,

I've been experimenting a bit with recording pace notes in CC. This is still work in progress, but the app will let you record your own pace notes and play them back. I've made a quick and dirty example for Raceroom's Macau circuit, running a WTCC car:

Might be a cool thing to help people learn tracks. The details are pretty simple - the app can be switched to 'record pace notes' mode, and you record a sound using the radio button as if you were giving a voice command. The app saves a .wav file and the lapDistance at the point you recorded it, so when you switch to 'play pace notes mode' and reach that point on the lap it will be played.

The pace notes are easy to share with other players so if it's popular and useful maybe I could build up a library of user-made pace notes.

It's going to take a tremendous amount of work for every car/track combination though.

It is a lot of work to do every combination, but I'm expecting users to make these if they want them. Also, the calls can be generic and be used for any car class. The example I did is very WTCC specific and the app will only use this if you're driving a WTCC car. Generic ones can be used with any car

Great indeed but I like your voice a lot and my own voice sound like a pig in space so sorry to say but I’ll keep your voice in the app.
Although it is great to generate your own pace notes..
