Woot downloading now 2.7gb.. THANKYOU !!! Will post some feedback in this post as soon as complete.

Patched and worked first time, no issues.

Ok like the menu improvements - definately more indicative of when things click/dont click.
Laps/time on race screen is much needed improvement - thank you we can tell race lengths easily
The FFB felt almost the same on my g29, which was excellent anyway, however the deadzone at the top was gone and felt "Smoother" hard to describe.
The tyre model was noticably different in some cars (Better in my view), gave a little more life to some of the cars - Which were already good.
The HUD editor finally works properly for me on triple screens (I can actually use it).. so this is a massive improvement.
Couldnt tell on frame improvements as i run vsync'd, and undoing vsync, i couldnt compare as had no old reference (Other than beta), which was a long time ago.
Downshifting !! Awesome and much improved - the Porsche I can shift down well now only tried that, didn’t rapid fire it (ingrained behaviour in my driving style) but I can go down much quicker.

We just raced (practice with my league) for a mess around test. Things we noticed

Forced Camera view still IS NOT forced.. (The person hosting is locked), however everyone else can still cycle cameras freely.
In a post race cooldown (autodriving cars), one of our legue members got an external camera view and could actually steer the car (Weird) but amusing.
Chat box works as required and doesnt "dissapear" from some screens.
Tuning menu shows current loaded setup (very nice).
In the Monitor, if a person crashes and restarts from pits there car still looks completely destroyed (visual), doesnt really detract from our racing, just a point to note.

We had a new member get a wheel tonight, so was setting him up (Gave him my old g25). He was getting a multiple inputs detected error - when assigning pedals.. after much messing around (no usb etc etc)... and finally googling in frustration, it was noted in a forum that if when you assign the steering, and you turn it full lock.. it then messes up other assignments that use variable input (Not on/off) - giving this multiple input error detected.. (So after 30 mins), i read this, had him just turn it a bit, then he could assign all his pedals without getting the error.

Now we only tried 1 track and a few cars.. Game lagged less when people joined a session - however there was still varying degrees of pausing when someone loaded in. However we didnt see any issues with people getting stuck swapping sessions - but we only ran a couple.

Thats a short 30 min test.. However will do more extensive testing and add to thread. I didnt look at much of the updated content yet, so will cover tomorrow

Glanced at championship mode..really happy to see this finally in - havent tried it yet .. however will be running a 6-8 round season shortly, so will try it out (Likely run a 2-3 round test over a week to ensure its solid).

All in all good progress and well done.. Thankyou very much

Those patch notes, big as they are, look like an abbreviated version of the actual amount of work that must have gone into these improvements.

Do these patch notes also apply to XBOX, or will they be announced separately?
