Well they say it's better but then they always say that. I was going to buy Dr2 but am underwhelmed by the lack of content and really it looks like dr1.1 rather than a new game. Also I purchased d4 on release and was disappointed it wasn't really fixed or tweaked.

Kylotonn starts from the rock bottom when it comes to expectations but after watching the video this pretty much seems to nail it.
Physics recap in the video is from 12:00 onwards.

WRC7 was really, really good but nobody really noticed.
This looks like a big step up from there even. Impressive looking game this.
Still haven't been able to watch with sound enabled, but from the footage of that Argentina stage it doesn't look that authentic. Car damage is non-existent it seems (could be just a game setting though), and the car's reaction to steering input and braking on that sand/gravel surface seems to be way too good and direct.
It looks great, though, so if somehow the car behaviour could be made more authentic with less tyre grip and more mass and weight transfer, I would definitely be interested.

WRC 8 might be an improvement to previous games, dynamic weather and graphics overall look pretty cool in my view, but watching some gameplay the handling and physics are not convincing at all. It doesn't mean that it can't be fun, though.
I have so many race games atm. Eventually I will buy this one as well but I don’t know if I will on release day..
