    Need setup advice with new GT3 tire model

    Driving the Audi GT3 (but I've heard the same from others) I've noticed with the post-patch tire that the initial turn-in is more than I expect, but I lose grip mid-corner. Although I created a new setup, I'm still using basically the same setup values from before the patch. So if I'm generally happy with the balance of the car, what changes should I make to overcome the tendency to turn in too quickly and then lose grip mid-corner?

    are you losing front end grip or rear grip?

    try softening the front ARB for the former.

    Don’t turn it too quickly!

    Increase steering ratio.

    Otherwise, different solutions depending which end front/rear losing grip.

    A bit more detail, please. It could also be a corner entry issue: the effect is you lose grip at the apex but the cause is really a moment before that at the corner entry.

    Yes, now the car is more responsive, mostly in tight slow corner, but it become more understeering in exits. The tyres get hotter too, and i think this is why the understeering ( and smoke ) i fast corners and exits

    Seems to be the front Abe. I'll try your suggestion later today.

    Edit:
    That helped a lot Abe, Thanks

    As for the too much turn in, I reckon I'll just try to get used to that.

    Turn in/exit are the springs
    Turn in oversteer -> stiffen front springs
    Turn in understeer -> soften front springs

    Exit oversteer -> soften rear springs
    Exit understeer-> stiffen rear springs

    Mid corner is your ARB
    Front
    Understeer -> Soften ARB
    Oversteer -> Stiffen ARB

    Rear
    Oversteer -> Soften ARB
    Understeer-> Stiffen ARB

    You may also try the steering ratio. On the tightest turn of the track you want your wheel to be around 90%. Less steering ratio means it's more precise but less room for error.

    That's a little more than just the tire model but hopefully that helps
