yeah but when in VR you can't adjust the POV as far as I know. you can move the cam sliders but you won't notice any difference.

Increasing the near plane clip value doesn't help with the texture flickering issue in VR?

Not since one of the patches maybe patch 3. At least i'm sure at one point it reduced it now it doesn't help at all. I even try really large number in the ini & that clips the steering wheel dashboard but doesn't reduce the issue.

Having texture flicker doesnt need to happen as is evident in many many current and old games .
No matter how hard I try to sit back and enjoy it , it takes away what that immersion I'm gaming for !
Hence me spending more and more time in other games than pC2 , that will only become more and more as newer games come out that hopefully have graphical engines that match their physics engine for quality !
pC2 has had this issue since at least pC1 and hopefully by the time pC3 is here SMS can have a decent looking graphics engine and VR will be at 4k at least and nVidia finally release something newer than Pascal !
Itís a shame you let it ruin the fun. I donít. Just saying it doesnít have to ruin your fun either , unless you let it. I find it a minor annoyance at best. Horses for courses I guess. Only trying to help

    Sorry I mean fov...
And yes even tho fov has nothing to do with VR (fov is for 2D we all aware),
it kinda changes how pcars handle the objects,
the lowest fov settings (eg. 35) minimise object popup issues.

I believe near plane clip is for the objects that is very close to the VR headset (eg Mainly interior)

The texture flickering issue mainly happens on objects like red-white barriers (Nurburging, Red Bull Ring),
or huge objects with texture (Monza GP, end of sector 1)

I would love to see less flickering but it doesn’t distract me at all. It does not take away the immersion for me although I can understand that some players find this flickering very annoying.
