    Renault Clio cup

Having major issues keeping up or qualifying with th AI. I usually play around 100 to 110 AI difficultly. But I canít get anywhere close to them. If anyone could shed some light or maybe a tune that would be greatly appreciated! Some what new to sim racing and Iím hooked!

Hi ! Were you playing 100 difficulty with the Ginetta's ?

For your concern, AI's strenght varies a lot between each class. They use simplier physics than us players, and sometimes they're a bit cheated. In some classes, they can beat the world records by huge chunks.

So yes, you might want to ease off the difficulty. Just enough so you're on the limit when fighting for the podium.

Ok I downed it to 95 ai. I am winning the races by 3+ sec. but I can’t get close at all during qualifying.

AI is simply very inconsistent. They can be unreal fast in qualifying just to loose all speed in the race and drive like turtles. It also depends on the class and even on the track or weather. There is no way to know what is going to happen, unless you try.
I have them at 105 (75 aggression) since my first races (Ginetta) and just leave them there, whatever happens. I don't want to change...
It sadly is one of the many issues that should be looked after.

SMS have acknowledged that AI qualifying speeds got too fast in Patch 3. It will be tweaked in Patch 4.
