    I have a suggestion/question:
I want to analyze a single or a combination of turns to find out which line is the faster one.

In result I want to visualize it like that:

Here an example from POCK Racer:

At the beginning the replay is paused, here is the start point for analyzing the turn.
The problem: I have two modes, Time and Distance.
In Time mode, which I used in the video the two lines have already a gap at the start point. In result I cannot find out which line is faster at the end of the turn when i press pause again.
In Distance mode the two lines are in parallel all the time. In this case I could check the time gap at start (shown in the bottom left) and compare it with the gap at the end. Then I would see what line was faster.

But it would be nicer if I can visualize it in the map like in the screenshot. For this case you need the Time mode and a kind of shift mechanism for the reference lap to move it back or forward bringing it in line with the other race line.
For the example in the video in Time mode: at the beginning the distance gap is 53,90m. Maybe it is possible to add a functionality to shift the reference lap 53,90m forward (more specifically shift the time of the recording forward which is needed for these 53,90m), which means bring it to 0. Then both race lines are in parallel. After that you can press play till to a point after the turn and press pause again. You can see now which line was faster. The distance gap should show now how much in meter. And even better if the gap is further shown as time gap.

In short: The start point for analyzing is the Start/Finish Line at the moment, but for analyzing single turns or a combination of turns you need another start point at a self defined point on track. It would be nice if you can add something like that.

    Thx in advance.

I find your proposal very useful.

I will see what I can do. I am thinking about an action, where you can sync the distance of the trainer lap. In such a case I will add an extra time offset value, starting with 0 when you sync the distance.

What do you think about the following alternative:

Switch Racer and Trainer lap and use the gap slider. With this option you can find out the different gaps to the Trainer lap. The gaps are only shown in case that the Trainer has a faster lap time than the Racer.

First of all thanks that you think about a solution.

For the gap slider: I don't really understand what it is doing or showing and how it can help analyzing single turns, sorry. Is it showing the track parts where you loose the most time in comparison to the trainer and the slider is a kind of threshold setting?
For example it is setup to a gap range of 0.5 seconds, is it showing in which parts of the track I loose more than 0.5 seconds?

Another suggestion for the track section slider: is it possible to mark the section on the map, because you don't see which section is highlighted? Only the gap visualization is an indicator. For example with changing the track border color or changing the background color in the selected section. Thx

Hi, your program sounds really useful. Will you be adding the remaining tracks to it, I'm currently struggling to keep pace on some of the newer tracks including leipzig and would love to see if your trainer can help me out?

It is exactly like that, the only requirement for gap analysis is that the trainer is faster.

Here an example of different gaps in a single turn where the gap value is changed.
During replay you can use dashboard, telemetry, timing/distance and the race line to analyze where you lose the time or which race line is the faster one:

To mark the active section is a good idea. I'll take this on my list.

At the moment I do not plan to provide all tracks, but I will provide more trainer laps for the existing tracks in future. I may add one or the other track, but that is rather the exception.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have a full list of supported tracks please?
