    Can't get FXAA to work

Hi guys, since launch, the only built-in AA method that worked for me was MSAA(low mid high). I was able to get around that via manuals settings in the NV control panel. I thought it might fix itself after various random updates(OS, drivers, games...) It didn't happend by itself!

Today, it tried one last round of things. Sadly for me, it didn't work:

To really see there's no AA, open the picture in paint were Zoom doesn't blur the image when zooming.

So, i got this picture after:
    1. Backup pCars 2 from steam backup feature(didn't feel like downloading the whole game again)
    2. Reinstall of windows 10 from scratch
    3. Update windows 10 to it's latest state (10.0, Build 16299)
    4. Reinstall of nVidia latest drivers
    5. Reinstall of steam
    6. Reinstall of pCars 2 from steam's backup
    7. Launching pCars with no graphicsconfigdx11.xml in pCars 2 document folder.

The last time i reinstalled pCars 2 was when patch 3 launched. I reinstalled the game from scratch there. I've even updated my MB BIOS, before reinstalling windows. I've selected the optimised default there. I don't run any overclock. Right now, my system is running clean, i don't even have AV installed yet. Only Windows, Steam, pCars.

I've attached DxDiag summary for you to check my system's state. By this time, i figured it's something with my system since there wasn't many users that reported the same issue.
    DxDiag.txt

I'm out of idea. I hope someone can help me!

    Thanks,

I'll do a fresh start since patch 4 just landed.

What do I need to do to erase all traces of pCars before reinstalling ?

There's the local steam folder, the document folder, the steam sync. Is there anything else that I forget?

    Thanks,

The link above is a screenshot with FXAA high enabled. From my PoV, there's no AA there.

Could anyone enable FXAA high and take a screenshot to compare?

The only thing that changed since OP is that i completely wiped pcars and reinstalled it from patch 4.

Not sure what to expect but I don't think pC2 AA is very effective. MSAA is the only option even then it's not great.
Post AA is terrible and no nVidia CPU or inspector have effect also.

Well, my issue right now is not about the quality of SMAA or FXAA. It's that there's no Anti-Aliasing when I select FXAA.

Personnally, I don't mind MSAA. But it seems to put a bigger hit on my 960 than FXAA.

The only way I had to make FXAA work was to force it thru nVidia control panel. The downside of it is that the menus are blurry(steam overlay also). The menus stay clean when the in game AA settings are used.

I've been happily using SMAA ultra for a few weeks now. In my opinion it looks better than FXAA and is comparable to MSAA low, but with less of a performance hit. Maybe you could give that a try?

i'm having a blanck right now. I know i tried SMAA high, i think. It worked, but i didn't really like the look. Ultra might do the trick.

    I'll revisit it.

Well, it seems there's something else going because I went at a friend's place(Ryzen 1600x, GTX 1080, win10) and FXAA high didn't give any AA also.

I remember FXAA worked well in pCars 1. I wonder what's going on.

Anyway, I'll just use MSAA Medium for the time being.
