    Calculating triple screen FoV

    Hi

I'm about to install a triple screen setup. I've been reading up on settings, but it's not clear to me how or whether I should adjust my FoV for a triple screen.

There's these parameters that might be relevant, but I don't know how they interact:
    - In the in-game triple screen settings one can adjust the distance to the middle screen and the angles and dimensions of the side screens
    - In the in-game general settings one can adjust the FoV.

Am I correct in assuming I can keep the FoV I was using for the middle screen (83) and PCars will automatically calculate and adjust for the side screens using the given distance, angles and dimensions? Or should I manually recalculate the FoV for the entire setup using the outermost edges of the side monitors and input that higher value?

    My recommendation: Don't calculate FOV.

Use the in-game FOV adjustments to tune it how you like it (while you are on track), and then just enjoy. IMO, too many people focus on things that don't really matter when all that matters is if you are enjoying your racing.

Thanks, but I've been racing with a mathematically correct FoV since PCars 1 and I'd like to continue doing so. In my opinion it does matter.

Then manually calc it and keep racing.

    Thanks Fuzzy.

I figured it out by now:
    - Angle of side monitors should be the same as your single screen FoV. Single screen FoV of 60 means you position both side monitors at a 60 degree angle.
    - Game uses the single screen FoV in the camera settings combined with the triple screen settings to display the correct perspective.

@Mahjik: downplaying my questions doesn't come across as particularly helpful.

It's not downplaying anything. You are just making the setup too hard. The options are straight forward as to how to configure triple screen. Everything is dependent on your monitor orientation and you adjust the options based on how you have your setup. Unless everything has their monitors set the exact same way, everyone will have their setup a little different.
