Question [ANSWERED] Why was the Damper Saturation setting removed?

I know this was removed in this patch but does that mean sms eliminated it and we are stuck with whatever they chose for a particular wheel because I don't want any damper on my wheel. I think default in game was 20 for thrustmaster wheels before the update and I hated it.

I really hope that's not what they did if they set it to anything other then zero.

No idea.. but, for me this setting didn't appear to do anything. On 0 or 100 my TM wheel felt identical.

The one in game now is for the controller the one they removed was for the wheels. It definitely worked before and set at 20 was too high. I'm thinking by the way my wheel feels that exactly what they did. Set it at the default value and removed the choice. If that's the case it was a horrible way to go about that.

Not sure why it never did anything for me then. I tried numerous values to see if it had any effect, and it didn't for me.
I know the option you are talking about, it was on: Options > Controls > Configuration screen, but is now gone.

That's the one. If you run real heavy ffb you might not notice it as much. All it really did was add artificial wheel weight. But it hurts all the subtle details.

And of course not a single answer on this. I'm sure somebody from wmd knows what they did here. It would be fine as long as they left it at zero and let the customer decide but if they just took the default value they had set before and took away the option that sucks because that's what it feels like they did to me.
