Hi all and thanks again. It's definitely a pedal issue. It sticks/comes on randomly. Depressing the pedal (for example in mid-straight!) will remove any brake input.
I had thought, as I said above, that the brakes were overheating and coming on. But it seems that it is just a mechanical problem (hopefully not some software in the wheel). I'll have a go at cleaning the pedals. I have a G29 - can you take it apart somehow and get any fluff out? Grateful any tips. Thanks again.

Pretty easy. Just unscrew underneath, the cover will come off. Ricmotech has a good disassemble video on YouTube.

What tire compound were you using?
    What was your tire pressure?
What was the track and tire temperatures?

Yup just about to reply from seeing your earlier comment that I thought it was the brakes. I had the very same issue some months ago (G29 wheel also). Would be driving normally and then all of a sudden loss of power. Guys behind me noticed my brake lights was coming on. This would happen intermittently. Brakes was sticking. Was driving me crazy before I found out. Fortunately the fix is easy. You have to unscrew some screws on the pedals chassis though to get inside and clean the brake potentiometer that got some muck build up. It's a small silver canister connected with some wires that communicates with the brakes. Theres a small hole on it that you need to drop a few drops of methylated spirit inside. Best to get an injection nozzle, pull up some methylated spirit in it and inject into the small hole and suction out the muck a couple times. I had this done and ever since it worked famously.

Hi and thanks. Yes, the pedal seems to be faulty. It is coming on randomly. I don't know whether that is a mechanical issue or a software issue with the wheel.
    Thanks all for the help.
