recommended third-party apps to improve pc vr experience

I just have a hundred hours of pcars2 on ps4 but love it and gonna receive soon my pc (i7800/1080ti) to go vr. Meanwhile I'm looking for some useful third-party apps that I'll have to install.
I'm thinking of course of Crewchief, and then vrHive for post race analysis.
    Any other suggestions?

sorry, you wrote vrHive, i overread that as Vive ( HTC Vive).
The app i suggestet works only with openVR devices, not with Oculus mode

Ah ok that will not be for me then, going for Oculus...
I remember having read about a lil software to help map keys from the wheel and button box, like something2key, and can't find it back, does that ring a bell?

Having just gone to VR I had same question and have found that Z1 supports VR for Occulus - there is a post about halfway down on their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/zBlueSoftware/

Just out of curiosity: what such 3rd party dashes in VR are for?
we needed such while playing on monitors because dash was too small to be readable (or covered by steering wheel). But once we are in VR I can see original dash which provides all needed information in realistic way.

I am not sure people are just looking for a dash but just to be able to see additional information

I personally find that the in car dash are a little too blurred for me so being able to look at something else does help

Reading a little more on this it is nothing that the software people have to do as anything from your pc can be pinned to the oculus screen at any position in the 360 degrees view

Voice attack is a handy app. It does what it says basically and playing in VR I found very helpful because now I can use less buttons and playing VR that's defintely a + .

The voice mod profile made by MarcusarilliuS_IRL, can be found here: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sho...d-UPDATED-v2-1

And you'll need to purchase Voice attack, can be found here: https://voiceattack.com/

I actually made a Starter quick reference sheet for it over here: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sho...70#post1478470.

Joy2Key is what you have been reading about I think. Another alternative is Autohotkey, seems to be more powerful but I haven't read into that yet

an attempt on gathering general tips for VR was started here: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sho...ing-goes/page3
