Changing picture quality on XBOX One X

Not sure if this has already been mentioned. On the one x has anyone noticed the change in picture quality from quali to race. Happens to me all the time. Quali looks very poor and race looks great.
I use the option for max resolution and I have 4k tv

No, I have not noticed that exactly. Qualifying and race look similar for me.

I have noticed that the xbx scales res according to load, this was noticed during digital foundry tests also.
