Lost all Online race stats and history, kept Rating. Can it be recovered?

Booted up the game recently and found all of my stats and history have reset to zero. I kept the Rating, thankfully. My HUD had also been reset, but seems like everything else is in tact. Is there any way to recover the old information?

always make a backup from your "default.sav" file.
there are all infos saved in this file.
i did not lost my stats here in PC2 but in PC1 i lost it two or three times... (not longer after save the file)

Similar thing just happened to me for the 4th time.

All you will get in response is:
    - The game is perfect, nothing that requires fixing.
    - Sorry you should have been backing up your data.
    - This issue isn't reported often enough to be an issue.
    - It's your Antivirus software.
    - if it doesn't happen to the devs, then it just doesn't happen.

    Its a joke, really.

there were several of us trying everything we could think of as potential fixes/solutions to this issue.

the fact that you are now making this comment is a slap in the face to all those on this forum who are more than happy to assist other users having issues with the game.

@crowhop sorry about the issues you are having, I wish i could be of more assistance. there are some potential fixes/workarounds in Zwing's thread here: http://forum.projectcarsgame.com/sho...er-fustrations

It's not meant to be a slap.
You moderators are very helpful and there is only so much that you can do, but it's not your issue to fix or find a work around. This has been an issue for some time now. Should have been already fixed by the developers.

I don't own a console, but do the Xbox and Playstation guys have to make backups also? How could you have a game based on stats, that doesn't always save the stats, and it's not the main priority to fix it. That's my frustration, because it is an issue.

    Documents\Project CARS 2\savegame\<Steam ID>\project cars 2\profiles

The profile is split into three files there.

Best bet is to back up the whole Documents\Project CARS 2\savegame folder, although if you have lots of replays and screen shots, that folder can get quite large
