    I am not trying to be a moderator or anything of the like, but am I crazy in thinking that this thread should be pinned at the top with the other stuck threads? This thread is so beneficial to us console users who are looking for car setups or even setup tips.

    Hey, it can't be stickied because it changes with every patch. In a few weeks there will be a 6.0 thread.

    It could be stickied then unstickied with next patch. But its popular enough it's easy enough too find every time I visit.

    Hopefully once the patches are all rolled out or cars retain consistent performance patch to patch the final thread can be stickied

    Yeah it usually stays in the top ten and because I have to get previous patch setups for some cars even that is usually on the first page. I think it is fine the way it is, look at how many people just skip right by the Gray Stickies and post right in the current threads about things that are in the Stickies. Heck, people ask for setups even a couple of posts above this thread often enough.

    Texas, same here, my setup, do the laps like the others did. Oh, I didn't spend a lot of time on this setup so if you need me to I can possibly do better but you first, beat me with my own setup.

    BTW, since it won't be just a one lap the race would be, what radiator opening would you suggest on these ovals for longer laps ....average 15 laps or so, give or take.

    EDIT: And also what about stuff like (as seen in setup/s):
    BRAKING: Front Duct Opening 0%, Rear Duct Opening 0%
    CHASSIS: Rear Downforce 0.00

    Are the above safe at "0"s for longer laps races as per average laps mentioned?

    I can maybe answer that as I'm on a break from career at moment doing Invitational and Historics (which this isn't but I'm taking it easier!).
    The settings you ask for are hard for a third party to suggest without being over conservative. Seeing as you have to practice the track David I recommend you load up the setups and do a few laps. Unless you don't mind the radiator getting hotter and hotter but only blowing AFTER you cross the finish line you want to make sure it settles around 200F max at the end of each lap (it will blow for certain once you get above 285 and over 220 it will degrade slowly but surely. Much easier to set for ovals as your driving should be more consistent. If it keeps climbing up a few degrees a lap above 200 after lap 5 you are pretty safe but not 10 or more! It depends a lot on how efficient you are driving, as regards not losing too much inertia by not over-braking, and therefore not over pushing the motor. Which also affects the brakes in the same way. Ovals are very easy to set the ducts for. 900/300F upper and lower limits for example. After your heaviest braking on say lap 5 you want the brakes BELOW 900, and after the longest straight (for them to cool) ABOVE 300. That's all there is to it unless the weather is extremely hot and you are worried about your tires OVER heating...which is another variable! It really is best if you set the race conditions and get a smooth rhythm going, which like i said keeps the brakes and motor cool giving you more power, better aerodynamics (=faster top speed!) and stopping ability for longer!
