Hi HUSARIA, it's Suomy's setup and this time he has made some Damper changes.

    Bikes wrecked-77 Suzuki RM125, 78 Honda Elsinore 250, 81 Honda CB900F, 2000 Kawsaki ZX12R(2), 2001 Honda F4I, 2005 Yamaha R1. A bike hasn't been made I couldn't wreck, spectacularly, but I'm retired now.

It's a tough car to tune sometimes, whilst it does have quite a bit of downforce it has nothing compared to the Mercedes Sauber C9 in the same class which can blitz around all those corners flat out without any issues at all. The Nissan like real life is a slower car and requires suspension and clearly damper changes. Maybe the default tune isn't the best for this track or maybe I'm just being too optimistic in thinking this car should be able to take those corners flat out. I'd love to see a real life onboard of the Nissan at Spa, unfortunately the only footage of this car I've ever seen is of it crashing at Le Mans in 1989
Hey Luke, I went back to Silverstone National with the R89C. I remember you were really quick here. Anyway I made some changes to the tires and the Damper page. I went all the way to 23000 on the slow bump without issues so go ahead and try it. I was able to improve my time but my game keeps crashing so I have limited progress there but managed a 0:47.439, I think you were in the 46s.

Gave that a try around Spa and didn't seem to help the problem unfortunately. I've just put the front bump stops up from 18mm to 22mm which helped a little bit but the scraping sound was still there. The only way I can completely get rid of that scraping is by either cranking the front bump stop up to max of 30mm or raising the ride height unpractically high.

Now I'm confused though, because up until this point I had been running 3 front and 6 rear downforce. I just dropped the rear down to 4 and bang, the car takes those corners flat out and I clocked a lap time of 1:58.621 where as before I was lapping in the high 59s and lower 2:00. I was always under the assumption that rear downforce was beneficial for high speed turns? This leads me to question though, is that scraping sound even the front of the car bottoming out? As it's still there now but it doesn't seem to be causing as much understeer now.

Hey, so you put the Default Damper page back in and then just maxed out the bump stops? Ok, tchoob is really a good driver and this was the only time I could find he drove the R89C(he made all his WR runs on the same day, 4/28, so I assume he was just hitting some of his favorite tracks and banging out some runs, once he had the WR he probably just moved on, that's the way I would have done it if I could drive) so he didn't make a lot of changes, Default aero was 2 front and 5 rear and all he did was increase rear to 6. So once again you are much quicker than the PC run. There have been some questions before about the noise but I think the conclusion was that the bump stops are noisy if you ride on them, they are hard polymer/plastic after all. As far as I know too much rear downforce can cause understeer, it kind of has something to do with the rest of your setup as well, you are not running much different than Default if you used tchoob's settings. Congratulations on persevering and finally succeeding in achieving your goal!

Oops, tchoob has more records, a WR at Imola on the 29th, a 2nd and another WR on 5/1, I wish there was an easier way to search by driver.

Damn he's fast for sure. My best at Le Mans in the Nissan R89C is a 1:21.712, I may have to have another go to see if I can find that half a second

Thanks, I have that. I just wasn't aware of the select class filter so now I know.

Just to make sure we are saying the same thing, my point was that you can filter per single driver also.
