You will not be able to Change from Controller to Wheel.

This wheel emulates a DS4 Controller.

    Your PS4™ recognises
the Hurricane Steering Wheel as a
    DualShock®4 controller, not a steering
    wheel.

So you will need to configure the Button mappings in PC2

    https://venomuk.com/data/pdf/products/42.pdf?575e79f6

    Connection and Installation with PlayStation®4:
a: Turn the switch to PS4™ and connect the pedals to the wheel.
    b. Plug the wheel cable into the USB port of your PS4™ console. Switch on your PS4™.
c: Press the “PS” button to select a channel. Channel LED1 is ON.
d: Once your PS4™ is connected you may start the game or change the settings of
    your game or system.

It is Bungee Cord Design Much Like the Thrustmaster T80

Well. I pulled out this wheel and dusted off the packaging today and followed some of the posts 2 above, and with some further calibration I managed to make it work. My next question is how to best configure the settings to make the wheel feel like a real car as it seems to respond a bit slow left to right and minimal movement with sudden oversteer. also, anyone have a suggestion on how to get the pedals to stop moving around on the floor? Is on carpet, not tiles and have those pad things but doesn't help. anyways probably wasting my time here as this was long ago and nobody uses this particular type of wheel.

still disenchanted with the game that is difficult to setup a wheel on, when it should recognise any wheel, regardless of type just because majority or x amount of people use 2 or 3 types only.

When I had my First Wheel, the gripers on the bottom of the Pedals didn't work well.
So I cut two 2x3's and Made a T brace. the Short cross went right behind the pedals, and the Long part butted against the wall with a piece of old carpet as a wall protector.
the Pedals didn't slide away from after that..

So any type of brace behind the pedals should work.

not sure how to make the response better..
play with the in game controller settings.
I've never used the controller in PCars so I don't know what type of responsiveness settings exist.

That is how games, consoles, and wheel manufacturers have operated for more than a decade. Game creators have to program the game to work with each one individually and can’t be bothered to do so for every Chinese POS on the market. It’s up to the buyer to do a little research on this thing called the internet and not buy products that aren’t compatible with their equipment. Would you blame apple if you bought an android charger for your iPhone?
