Night race car lit up inside fps problems

    Hi guys.

My game is running perfectly in VR except for night races.

Now the problem seems to be that if you are ahead of the pack with a bunch of headlights behind you the car is fulle lit up inside. Even my feet is as bright as can be. Now it seems that the car does not have a rear end and it's almost like I'm sitting in half a car with the rear end gone.

The car being lit up inside causes masive performance issues.

Why o why does it do this? The car is suppose to be dark inside but the guys behind lights is shining straight through the rear end of my car as if it's not there and even through my body and seat.

    Is this a known issue??

Thanks guys. I'm have the best day races but night races makes me sick!

I think those might be 2 separate issues.
Cockpit fully lit is known. At least we know about it. Devs did never mention it as the issue.
Fps might be related to gfx performance settings especially shadows. More light sources cast more shadows. Try to lower this setting

Shadows already on low. Can set the settings extremely low and still having problems. All is 100% when I change the view to any other than cockpit

I know what you mean, mentioned many times before.

Basically I found that if your ahead of someone and you get the bad glare I get 45fps, as soon as I slow down to last place so the glare is gone and it’s nice and dark inside it jumps to 90fps.

Same for using helmet, on 45fps, off 90fps.

I could obviously lower some settings to make that better but I’m happy with either 45 or 90 as ASW does a good job.
