Yep, true. I just received the Win10 1803 update a week ago, I am on VR and it still runs fine. Not of much help this post I know, just saying it´s not a general Win10-VR-PC2 problem.

I am quite sure this Problem came with the April Update Windows 10 (1803)

My screen freezes but sound and the actual game seem to continue, and I get the event "application pcars2avx.exe has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware" and "application ovrserver_x64.exe has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware"

This Error Message "***** has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware" came for so countless Users...

If you do a web search of the error message, you'll find plenty of forum discussions about it.

As a start, here's one I copied and that refers to re-installing the nVidia driver properly:

Frustrated, I found this video on YouTube and followed the instructions. Basically, it explains how to remove ALL Nvidia drivers and do a "clean" install.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ulQYC_HP9s

Two main points: don't use GeForce Experience to load the drivers. Go to the Nvidia website and download them manually. Watch the video, follow the instructions, and you'll be playing the game again without all the crashes.

I had to do the steps twice because first I re-installed the latest drivers and the crashes continued. I tried it again and used an older Nvidia driver on the second attempt and had success!

    never installed Geforce Exp.

Do you have another GPU laying around to rule out a hardware issue? Because this error message in combination with your VR problems are sounding like one.

no other GPU, maybe I have to check, if the OnBoard GPU ist deactivated in the Bios/Uefi

All other Games are fine, also under SteamVR everything is smooth (Dirt with 90 FPS) and RBR with about 200 FPS
