Thereīs another parameter spreading it over 4 cores, canīt remember what itīs called, I never tried it before as I run a 6 core cpu. Maybe I should give it a go. Sorry for going off topic here, will shut up for now.

AFAIK you'll have to install/start Steam as Admin for that.

Ok. I was asking because you said:
My screen freezes but sound and the actual game seem to continue, and I get the event "application pcars2avx.exe has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware" and "application ovrserver_x64.exe has been blocked from accessing graphics hardware"

started PC2 as Admin: no Success, still Freezes, Updated Steam VR to Beta: still Freezes, set Parameter in Steam for PC2: -pthreads 4 -fpscap 75 -dx9 (all 3 Parameters and one alone) still Freezes

I am quite sure the Windows April Update is responsible for this Issue

I think I have the same issue that start around the win10 update. I can be running at 90fps constantly and suddenly frames drop to 20 or under. Screen locks but game continues for 3-5 seconds, thus putting me into the wall frames then pick back upto 90 FPS. I do have AV but I will remove and test again.
The freezes are random and can happen at any time, generally the come within first few corners of a race.

This is what helped me: https://forums.evga.com/Basic-troubl...-m2504606.aspx

The first Steps (New Installation of Win10 and Drivers) i did one Week ago, No Improvement.

The other Steps (and the Steam Starting Parameter for PC2: Multi threaded -dx11mt ) i tried yesterday: No Freezes until Today :-)
