PS4 - Horrible steering wheel shake after update and Spirit of Le Mans pack

    Hi all,
Sorry if this has been discussed before but I couldn't find a concrete answer.

I just did the latest update and bought the spirit of Le Mans pack. The cars are unbearable down the straights and the force feedback starts shaking in my hands. If I let go, the car immediately goes off track.

At first I thought my steering wheel was broken but I put in GT Sport and the wheel was fine. The wheel is a Logitech G29

    Has anyone else experienced this?

What can I do to correct?

    thanks everyone!

What are your current flav and settings for ffb?

Don’t let go of the wheel.

Don’t hold the wheel with a feather light touch like you do with your street car.

I’ve driven the Ferrari 512 and the R18 on it so far. Nothing so “horrible” or “unbearable” down the straights.

There’s a bit of ffb chatter, but nothing exciting.

    See my settings below.

What cars have you tried and what are your ffb settings?
-10 for gain and volume should suffice.

What tire compound were you using?
    What was your tire pressure?
What was the track and tire temperatures?

Hi I also have the same problem when driving the new LMP1 2016 cars after a few laps, I posted about it in the PS4 Post 6.0 discussion thread and it is affecting a few people. I did an endurance race driving the Porsche 917LH and I was not a problem, however driving the Porsche 919 it was unbearable and I just quit the race because it was so unrealistic. Which car were you driving? I'm also using the same wheel as you

    ^^^

The 919 is a very different car to the 917 so should not be compared.

The 919 has 500 rear wheel hp from the engine and 400hp delivered the front wheels at the touch of a button by an electric motor. It takes some getting to grips with as the car suddenly near doubles in power and transforms from 500 rwd to 900hp awd in a moment.

So why is it that the problem only occurs on straights after a few laps with the new LMP 2016 cars and never with the LMP1 cars that were in the game as standard?

The torque steer feel of the wheel driving the r18 and 919, when you get on the boost is amazing. Feels exactly like a FWD/AWD car scrabbling for front tire grip.

    What’s unrealistic?
I’ve driven the 919, R18 and the TS050 in the game. And the 512 once.
    What’s the problem?

The longest race I’ve done so far is 6 laps in the 2016 cars.

    ^^^I don't have any problem.

People with concerns really do need to post their current flav and ffb settings to receive support, and ideally a video of your problem, super ideal if you can also record a video with the telemetry running.

Driving naives should note that you do need to hold the steering wheel on a car for best results. Racing cars in general have their Ackerman geometry set up to favour turning in, not staying straight as is the tendency with road cars in road tune.
