Unhappy g29 brake pedal too stiff, what should i do?

my brake pedal is too stiff and doesn't like going all the way down, which is usually what i do with my other brake pedals. people have said this is "realistic" and "totally how real car's brake pedals work", i think it's not supposed to be this stiff. any help would be appreciated!

Get the GTeye spring mod. Makes it so much better and also you’ll have more feel in your braking rather than having to stamp on it.

Without modding you can calibrate the brake travel to be a little short. So heavy braking is just pushing against the rubber stopper and full brakes is applying a good bit of pressure, but not standing on it like the default. This helps you keep away from 100% brake and anti-locks or locking wheels. Unless you need to, like a spin.

So in PCars you can calibrate the pedals, just don't push the pedal the whole way down, just apply the pressure you want for full brakes.

Other mods include replacing the rubber stopper or drilling a few holes in it to make it more squish-able.

The bung gets softer with age.

When new I calibrated as venquessa suggests above. I have also set my dead zone so braking starts when the bung starts squishing and the pedal stiffens.

A lot of guys seem to not know just how hard real race car brakes are...

They are NOT soft to press like road cars.

True, but only a small percentage of user simrigs don't start flexing somewhere or the other if you get anywhere near IRL full force... But a G29's force is not anywhere near that. I actually turned my V3 pedals and wheel settings 'up to 11', to get the hardest resistance I can while still being sensible for my rig. That way I have way more control. Out of the box it didn't feel any better than a standard pedal with a spring and even then it felt weak.
